Essential Question
How does our energy usage affect our Earth?

Project Overview
Mrs. Carter’s students will work in pairs to create and present an exhibit on a clean energy source at the San Diego Science Festival at Petco Park in March. Students will also conduct a home energy audit, write reports about the energy efficiency of their homes and design and create an educational material that teaches others about their clean energy source, energy efficiency, and energy conservation (i.e. public service announcement, brochure, print advertisement, poster, etc.). Students will also compare and contrast San Diego’s energy picture with other places in the world and analyze the class text of The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind by William Kamkwamba.
